Issues Regarding Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health in Sarawak: An Overview

Adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health is a commonly discussed topic in public research. In Sarawak, similar challenges have been faced other parts of the world which are, lack access to accurate comprehensive information about safe sex, contraception usage, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) whereby adolescents will commit risky activity that affects their physical, mental socio-economic status. The Ministry Women, Early Childhood Community Wellbeing Development has stated cases teenage pregnancy are rising recent years as engaging behaviour. Such occur due experiencing novelty during growth development period. Misconception sex also contributes among source they obtain from media pornography. Efforts made enhance knowledge Sarawak including school-based education community outreach initiatives. However, there still many efforts be achieved ensure resources need make informed decisions health.
